Speaking in the Illinois State House Tuesday, Mike Bost lost his marbles during a discussion of pension reform. Like Beale, the longtime Republican representative from a southern Illinois district was mad as hell and he wasn’t going to take it any more, unleashing an epic rant at Speaker Mike Madigan.

The top moments are undoubtedly early in the clip, when he tosses a bunch of papers in the air, then punches them on the way down; and when he shouts, “Let my people go!” But stay with it until the end for his excellent variation on the old rap-battle mic drop. Also worth noting: the faces on his colleagues around him, trying to maintain a sense of dignity, except the woman in the burgundy behind him who seems willing to indulge her amusement.

Obviously by my reblogging spree, we all can see I am on a gender identity/Laci Green kick. I have heard feedback from many people from my internet communities and my real life communities regarding my gender identity and how I blog about how I dress. So here are some details.

I feel distinctly female. That being said, I realize that in my current society, that I do not fit into the lines that are drawn by our societal influences.

However, as I have written about before, if I was given an option such as the gender option X that is available in Australia, I would seriously consider taking it.

I like wearing dudes clothes. I like feeling comfortable in what I’m wearing and feeling like I can do anything I want regardless of the outfit I’m wearing. I never want to be in the situation where I feel like I may have to go home and change at some point in the day.

I like wearing ladies clothes. I like feeling feminine and accepting of my body. I have been very nervous about wearing womens clothes because of how I perceive my body and my gender and sexuality, but I am getting better at this. I do feel accepting of my body most days when I wear mens clothes, my decision on what to wear is just usually how I wake up.

I like wearing make up. It seems to help my skin and I like being creative and getting better at a task such as cat-eyeliner with black eye shadow and brushes.

So in conclusion, this blog will continue to delightfully have a lack of focus, no distinct lens on either womens or menswear, and generally be a down to earth good time. Down for the ride?
